If you are looking to enter the field of Internet Marketing you must know one thing up front. Internet Marketing is not about getting rich quick.
Some people would like to make it about get rich quick schemes but the truth is a lot of work is involved.
If there is anything that has ruined a generation of good people is the idea of that there is a get rich quick answer.
The problem is that most get rich quick schemes don’t work for everyone. I qualify this by saying, not everyone because some people have managed to make get-rich-quick schemes work for them. Some people are able to make lots of money in a short period of time. It might be their situation, it might be timing, it might be their own personality, but these factors don’t always add up for everyone.
Internet marketing is about opportunity. It is about providing a low barrier of entry. This doesn’t mean there is no work involved. Internet marketing affords the opportunity to sell products that have no physical limitations. There’s no factory to start, there’s no materials to buy, there’s no labor to hire.
Traditionally, to start a business you had to sell someone else’s product which meant you had to buy inventory, store that inventory, and hire salespeople to sell the products. Or, you had to manufacture your own products and then sell it to other people who were interested in selling other people’s products.
In both instances physical products were required. Factories, physical products, employees all require large amounts of startup money. Most people don’t have the financial backing it takes to start an off-line business.
However with Internet marketing, the products are information based and therefore have none of these physical limitations. You can usually start an Internet marketing business for very little money, but that does not relieve you of the responsibility of working. Because it is an information age application of marketing, there is lots of learning to do in order to understand what needs to be done to be successful.
Without the desire to learn, and put in effort, Internet marketing cannot possibly provide you with an income. Before you decide to start an Internet marketing business, take the time to do a little research. Even if you do have lots of money to throw at an Internet Marketing project and want to hire someone to do the work for you, you still need to understand the concepts behind what’s going on so that you don’t get taken for a ride.
Internet marketing is a fascinating field. It is a brain game. It doesn’t matter how tall you are, what color your skin, your family background, or where you live, Internet marketing can provide you the opportunity to build a business without the need for a factory, a physical product, or employees. As long as you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn and do what needs to be done then and only then will you be able to reap a financial reward.
Don’t let anyone tell you that Internet marketing is a get-rich-quick scheme, either as a deterrent to avoid it or as encouragement to engage in it. It is a business and you must treat it like a business.
Below I have provided a list of topics that you will eventually need to understand to build an Internet marketing business. Use these topics as a basis for your research and learning.
I wish you great success in your Internet marketing business.
Keep reaching for success,
